SOooo, how is everyone? Sooo hope you all had one lovely weekend! :) It was sooo warm and we all enjoyed being outside. Saturday, we were going to embark on a huge journey! Taking the boys to get their haircuts! LOL I know..crazy!!!!! But seriously, Joshua got his first haircut at 1. He HATED it! Would not even go back to that place! And Matthew, had NEVER even been! LOL Sooo for the past several years, yours truly has been cutting their hair. Daddy would hold them..usually outside in the backyard, while I carefully snipped their precious "boy curls" off to make them look like little studs! LOL I'm surprised our neighbors didn't break down the fence, because these boys of ours would SCREAM, literally SOOO LOUD as if they were being hurt! It was CRAZY! I never looked forward to trimming their hair! HATED IT! I should have been more like Deann and just let their hair grow long like lil surfer boys! LOL But there is just something about my lil guys looking soo cute like their daddy, that I just had to! LOL Sooo, Saturday morning, after hitting a few tag sales (where I actually got some COOOL Shabby Old stuff like an old Medicine Cabinet for $5-ROCK ON! LOL ), we headed out to the "hair salon" so that the boys could get their trims! Joshua was actually excited about getting his haircut and getting a toy! LOL As he has seen on the many hair cutting commercials here! Tee hee. Sooo we actually were thinking Joshua would ROCK this and Matt..NO GO!
Okay! Here we go with this story! We get into the salon! Of course with little ones, anytime we enter any store or salon or restaurant, the first thing we do is take them potty! LOL Sooooo, Daddy takes Josh to the restroom. I'm standing their with Matt, huge CANON camera in tow, trying to reason with this hair cutting lady that our boys WILL scream to the death while she cuts their hair! Okay major fearful look starts to show on her face! Now I'm thinking, we might as well go back home! She puts a booster on the big hair cutting chair and gets the cute animal print cape out. She looks at Matt and asks him is he would like his haircut. Matthew climbs happily into the seat. NO JOKE! She begins to put on the cape and spray his hair with water. Okay I'm sitting there shocked. Next she shows him the shearers. I'm thinking, "Yup, this is it..this is the end of it"! LOL He touches the shearers...thinking they are okay..won't hurt him. She begins to trim up the sides of his hair. I literally almost fall over! LOL This is CRAZY! He's actually letting this lady do this! LOL Daddy comes back with Joshua and immediately as he saw this, his jaw dropped! No kidding! We were in another world...on another planet..in another time..our almost 3-yr old was letting some strange hair cutting lady shear his hair! WAAAAAY MIRACLE here! HUGE! Unfathomable event now accomplished! I am still in shock! Anyways, he did fabulous and I'm so PROUD of him! :)
Okay so now it's Joshua's turn. The little 4 year old who was actually jumping up and down in excitement. Soo wanting to get his hair cut to get that toy! LOL He's standing there watching his baby brother be the champion of getting his haircut! Seeing him be mr fearless! So now it's Josh' turn to get on the booster! Think he happily climbed up? LOL NOT A CHANCE! There was NO WAY this child was getting in this seat. The stylist was pretty remarkable. She did the whole "kneeling down" thing, talking to him on his level. Totally clever if you ask me. Maybe she was a preschool teacher way back when. But she was reasoning now with Joshua. And it turned out, he did not want to wear this animal cape! LOL He wanted a black one, like the big boys wear! LOL
So now Joshua is in the seat! WOW! Okay so getting 2 in this seat, for us, is a HUGE accomplishment! LOL Joshua now is a big boy!LOL The hair cutting lady shows Joshua the shearers. I am thinking, no way again! Just no way cuz our lil Joshua is the most stubborn lil dude that existed! He's feeling out these shearers..kinda laughing that they tickle. She begins to shear his sides and he gives out the most adorable giggle! OMG! Soooo totally cuuute! She now is cutting his hair and doing everything that he NEVER let mommy do! LOL I am thinking this lady is now our angel in disguise! LOL So finally, Joshua accomplished getting his haircut. He loved it, loved his toy and felt like such a big boy!!!!!!
Totally MIRACULOUS event here in our family! LOL We couldn't be more tickled pink that BOTH boys did soooo well! :) Chayce of course was an angel supporting her lil bros getting their haircuts! LOL Soooo off we went to lunch! That was fun! Totally exciting! I took these while we were out at lunch! :) FUN FUN!!!!! And you know what? I barely did anything to these in PS! Okay I think I'm ready for actions!!!!
Soooo, hope you are ALL doing fabulous! Okay had to share one more EASY
recipe that SMJ loves to make for her little family! Topping for 'nilla ice cream!
Okay get a bag of frozen blueberries. Pour 1 cup into a pot. Then add 1/2 cup low sugar or regular raspberry jam. Boil on low....really low..for like 9 min. Then let cool. Omg it makes the YUMMIEST topping for 'nilla ice cream! Almost like pie minus the crust! Anyways, sooo delish to have and serve to friends and family! :)
And to celebrate HAPPY MONDAY, the person who is the 15th poster, gets a free kit at the shoppe! :) K no cheating! LOL
Happy day!!!!

Isn't it nice when they stop screaming while getting their hair cut? LOL! Mason used to do it too...it was just bad! They just look so sharp with their new do's though! ;)

Hi Jenn...Just wanted to say what fun I had talking to you today! I have the worst cold and you were just the good medicine I needed!!!
I'm cracking up at the haircut stories. When my son was a bit younger he went to a real barber where he "freaked out" about getting his hair done...and then next time we went back there was a new sign in the window stating that "children will only be serviced IF they are willing to get a haircut"!!! Ha!! Your boys are so darn cute in the chairs getting "cut" that I think you'll have to bring them back again soon just to get more adorable shots like these!!!!
And I"m way to lazy to cook but I"m coming over for that pie minus the pie!! Sounds scrumdiliocious...and YES..that IS a word!!!!
Have a great day!
