Sooooo, this pirate thing is getting way outta control! LOL Josh is one mad little Captain Jack! Or Captain Josh! Now he's got the swords, earring, boot, etc. But as mommy is an obsessed tag sale finder, I managed to find some kewl vintage antique pirate treasures! First off this huge pirate ship lamp! It's sooo vintage and sooo chic! I saw it among a pile of clothes and stuff. Had to grab it. It's really cool! Then a small vintage ship that Josh carries with him everywhere! LOL And his grandpa found him this vintage pirate ship silkscreen print. SO fabulous! And grandpa even framed it for him. So yeah it's getting way outta hand but truly I am sooo enjoying see Josh and the other two get all dressed up and creative in that way. I mean seeing two miniature pirates on the couch sword fighting pretending to be heroes..sooo cool! And today you have to go grab these awesome notebook papers from Sharon! OMG they ROCK!!!!!! And check out her adorable freebie here! Have a great weekend! Tomorrow is tag sailing with Sasch! :) Credits-Sharon Kenealy, Nancy Comelab, Gina Cabrera, Shabby Princess, Dawn Stocstill, Sweet Mindy and Ronna Penner.

Soooo, I am blogging as scheduled! LOL But today's another rough one! Now baby Josher's has the flu! Ughh! Totally stinks! But while he stole a nap, I got a few things done! First off....from now on I am sooooo getting all my pages printed via Shutterfly! Seriously! I was so honored to try a book out and when I got it, I totally lost my breath! Perfect beautiful matte pages! Gorgeous cover! I am thrilled with it! And it was SOOOOOO EASY!!!!!!! Check it out! These I am sure make fantastic gifts! My girlfriend was at my cottage when I got it and she about died! So just from that, anyone would love one of these!
And I played around with an old shabby chic vintage makeup carrier today! Looove how it turned out because I looove that it's lined with HB Freshcut fabric! Yesterday I went to the huge HB Fabric store...LOL..ie my girlfriend's house! And picked out a yard I liked! I was kinda skeptical cuz normally I am used to lining these with Rachel Ashwell fabric. But holy cow! Is this the cuuuutest? I am in love I think! LOL I seriously could use this for a sewing basket! Not sure yet. But I just love how totally cute her fabric is in this. HB and Shabby Chic blend together beautifully!!!!!

THANK YOU to everyone for all your sweeeeet emails! I sooo appreciate it! Just quickly wanted to share how cuuute our "CCC" hats turned out! OMG! I love these and they just turned out fabulous! Gotta love that cafepress. I woke up this morning reading a few fun toot toots so that was fun! And Matt got the flu too. SO this past weekend was no fun. But I think he's better now so WHEW! When babies get sick and we are talking fluish sick, it is soooo not fun and I really get sad seeing them so miserable! But thankfully, I think it's over! Just wanna stay away from our friend's lil kids so they don't get sick. Anywho's, I have tons more to bloggie but will try to blog alot this week! :) And hopefully I won't bore you! Okay so if you have some fun girleee friends around, group them up, do some crafty thing and make a name and buy hats! :) LOL Seriously they are soooo cute and the tanks are cuute too! I think we'll be buying more soon!
xoxoxoxo for now!!!

You know I really have to start off and say I am really not a whiner or complain much about anything. I read so many of your blogs out there and my heart goes out to so many of you. I think for me, when I get slammed for a whole week of hard things, hearing some sad news (but it can be considered good too) I begin to just melt! LOL But seriously this whole week has just been so darn rough! I think I am ready to just hit the hay for a few days and recoup kwim? I am still getting over the flu and that is no fun and really challenging while taking care of 3 kiddies! I am more than grateful I had several offers from my close girlfriends here to come and take my kids for me. So sweet and I soo appreciate them! SO I had to at least scrap a few new things that make me chuckle and make my sad days more happy! I have to tell you this story about my recent broken pink cell phone! That was just the ice breaker! LOL But still this post is about the happy stuff!
Here's a little ditty about Shabby Miss Jenn's oh so shabby pink cell phone! See we have this friend who works in an oh soooo eclectic coffee shop right down the street from us. Turns out they make the most bestest espresso's in all of Shabbyland! And their fabulous lattes, iced cappuccino's and americano's really put Starbucks to shame! I am soooo serious about that one!
Soooo, the Shabby Daddy walks in to greet a few of his buddies! Lo and behold one of them works there occasionally! So he totally knows the secrets to the trade of fabulous coffee! He tells Shabby Daddy he's making him his very classic "Davito". Since the dudes' name is David, how more perfect can that name get! Basically it's a secret but it's a sweet creamy iced cappucino!
Soooo the Shabby Daddy returns to the Shabby Cottage with this huge iced drink in his hands! I know he's already scored major points with SMj! It's incredible! Every sip is like I am in coffee heaven! Sooooooo majorly good! Then I proceed to go out on my daily tag saling ventures! Mind you the lid that the "Davito" dude put on my cup was a rounded one because all that whipped cream had to be protected! So my straw was a tad short! Sooo, I am driving around and decide to take the lid off. I still have my straw but I figure it's nooo big deal!
Then I am turning into one shabby tag sale! Just dying at all the luscious goodies I see before me! Sooo I decide to grab my pink shabby cell phone to see if one of my sweet girlees wanted to meet up with me and load up on all these treasures! As I am grabbing my pink phone from my cute straw bag, guess what? My phone decides on it's own that it really wants a taste of that Davito drink! Yup let me tell ya I was shocked myself! This phone took a nice sweet dive right into my drink! Totally submerged like a submarine! I completely lost my breath for a few seconds! HOLY MOLY! My brand new phone...pretty much ruined!
I am thinking though to myself, "well I could get that hot new iphone that's coming out on the 29th". LOL But I am sooo sad now. I loooved my pink phone and we had been through so many conversations together! Sooo frustrated that it wouldn't even turn on, I drove back home! Shabby Daddy just about died! Kinda giggled too! But really felt my pain and despair! He told me to go put it out in the sun! Meanwhile I am im'ing my girlfriend who lives down the street! Im'ing cuz my darn cell phone won't work! She tells me to blow it dry!
Soooo, I began to start drying my pretty pink cell phone just like I was in a beauty salon! Really pimping her up! Noooo luck! It still won't work. It does turn on and the Bethinator could get ahold of me but I could not dial out! Ughhhhhhh!!!!
Soooo, that night was movies in the park! And while we all sat and enjoyed a great movie with some great friends..I still wondered if that pink phone of mine would ever work again! Sooo I went to bed, hoping......hoping badly...that it would work.
The next morning I awoke to some beautiful noises! Shabby Daddy was fiddling with my shabby pink cell phone and lo and behold, she worked! Perfectly and magically!!!! I could dial out and get ahold of anyone out there in Shabbyland! Yippppeeeeeeee!!!! Seriously I was soooo excited!!!!!!! So even with that huge dive into the Davito swamp, she still managed to come out clean for me!
The fun shopping trip was finding our daughter's "CHAYCE-KINI"! LOL I remember when I was little trying on suits with my mom, trying to find the right swimsuit for the summer! Well Chayce and I had the most hilarious time finding her one! And isn't this one just too cute? LOL I just love it and it's soo her!
Also she is sooo into finding those "I love egg" eggie things! LOL She gets one at the supermarket every time we go! These are sooo cuute! And she loves to watch the cute animations on the site too!
And my most favorite recent purchase....Bare Minerals Foundation makeup! OMG I ordered mine from Sephora and I am in love! I hate liquid foundations and this stuff is heaven!!!!!! Totally worth the $$!
Well there are just a few things that make this lil girl happy! I have so much to be thankful for! I again am totally wiped out from this week! I hope you all have one RELAXING weekend and I hope I can too! :) LOL

Okay totally one busy and crazeeee week!! So hopefully I can bloggie more for awhile! Hope you are all doing magnificent! I can't tell you how excited I am that school is out and you can see from the shabby alarm clock, we are enjoying snooooozing in now! LOL This morning, we made Hello Kitty Waffles! LOL Chayce looooves them so much! We got this hello kitty waffle maker when she was 2. She's almost 8 and still loves them! LOL Friday was one wild day! I think we all got a ton more quilt squares done! I blasted the AC so that we were all "KEWL"! LOL And we ordered our hats and tees! FUN! I can't wait to see them!! The girls were making fun of me that I didn't have a pin cushion! Okay but I am sooo in the right place to make one eh? Hmmm..maybe a flower, a pear? A coffee cup with a pin cushion lid? I need one..so I should do one quick! LOL But it has to be cute and has to be made from HB stuff! Last night I watched a great documentary on PBS about being creative when you age and how it lowers the risk of Alzheimer's. WOW! They showed a group of older women sitting together quilting. And what they talked about while they quilted and how they remembered that when they were younger, their primary goal to quilt was to keep their children warm. But now it was more for just being creative. It was so neat to see that! I really am so glad our lil quiltin' group has grown to be some very strong friendships and I hope it grows continually for a long time.
Wishing you all one happy summer day!
Smoochies!

And well it just NEVER stops here in Shabby Miss Jenn Land! LOL Seriously! The fun never ends! Hmm..maybe we should start charging people! Or maybe have secret passes to the CCC club! It's getting pretty creative and crafty at the same time! LOL
First off...and forgive me but you all will be scrolling up and down between these 2 picture to see what I'm blabbing about-LOL.....soooo much fun in this small lil hick town we live in. Tag Sales, Parades, Carnivals, Dinner with friends, long trips to search for stylish glasses to order for our princess, ponies walking in the street..you name it..it's going on!
Saturday, my mom and I went tag sailing! Just fun! We hit a few antique sales on the way! Scroll down to the cute vintage aqua tole roses tray! :) And then something happened and we miraculously found a huge fabric quilt CHENILLE tag sale! OMG! Heaven girls! We went through boxes and boxes of beautiful chenille scraps! Huge and small, old and new. I snapped a pic of just a few! Seriously...$1 for a scrap of chenille? No way! I love chenille and especially vintage pink chenille! I think this could work into some fun while we quilt on Fridays!
Then we had a blast enjoying our buddies watching the small festive parade! All the cowboys and cowgirls came out to ride their horses and ponies in the street while throwing candy and prizes to all the lil kiddies! Now who would NOT call this fun? LOL Especially with me coming from the bay area! LOL Really..total blast!
Then....later on to the Carnival! It was in no comparison to the fair we just moved away from but it was pretty close. And with our buddies and their kiddies, well that made it one million time more fun! :) Josh begged us to get him on this blue dragon! He loved it. Matt kept saying "This is like Mary Poppins"! LOL When they ride the carousel in the park. And Chayce was so cute that some nice boys gave her free tickets! Then to dinner we all went.
Sunday? Time to rest up! And shop! Get some stuff printed like birthday invites for Chayce's bday. Just other stuff too! Sooooo while I was at this store...I had to nab this cute basket purse with bamboo handles! Just totally reminded me of a purse my grandmother would have used and would have had plenty of candy stashed away in there for us grand kiddies.
And then I saw this cuuuuute cowboy potting bench..and had to snap one of it...So that the Shabby Daddy could make one for the boys..but make it a sitting bench! Sooooo how cute would these be at the end of their beds? Ie for their hats, toys, etc. Maybe I can find some old rusty initials for them too! Just cute!
So on these two cute pics of goodies, I used DDE, SP, Heather Ann, Nancy Comelab, SMJ and RONNA PENNER'S MOST FABULOUS NEW LACE GOODIES AT HER SHOP! Seriously, these are to die for amazing!!!!!!!!! For certain a must have for any shabby chic scrapper! I love them to pieces!

I have not quilted for soo long it's not even funny! Sooooo, the CCC girls...we have started ours! These are going to be so cute! Basically one of the girls cut and the rest of us sewed the strips into squares! Then we are turning then diagonally and cutting! Just so fun and how easy! LOL I got to use my friends Bernina..oh man! How nice!!!!! So, we got several squares done...at some yummy blueberry banana bread and had fun chitting and chatting! It's getting really hard finding time to work now! LOL But I am staying up later to make up for it! LOL I think for all of us to have our own quilt, we'll be sewing squares for 10 Fridays...cuz we meet every Friday..but since summer is here..maybe we could do 2 days a week! Because these quilts will be for our play dates at the park, beach, etc. :)
Okay and check out the cuuute new goodies at SP's site! Here's my pages! I loooove scrapping with her goodies cuz they are just so cute! Credits can be found here, here and here. Smoochies to you all!
