~~Desk Transformation~~

...And here's too many pictures to look at. I just love how this turned out!!!! The desk and chair got a sweet milky/stainey paint bath and now have a warm feel rather than that cold feel from bleach white. Seriously, I redid my old trunk, table and now desk/chair and I am done with all white and pink too! LOL My shabby chic days are kinda over and I'm moving over into a french/rustic/retro/hip/chic kinda feel? Hard to say which design class this falls into. But I love it! This bulletin board is AWESOME! I love sitting down and looking up at things that inspire me. Plus it helps to get some work done knowing what direction I'm going in. :) I was trying to come up with some fun bulletin board tack ideas. I will be making some with buttons for sure. But I remembered I had all these old vintage floral brooches sitting in a box. So I brought those out and am using them for the tacks. Along with some sewing pins too. Just too much fun! Soooo darling Michelle Filo taggied me! LOL Before I do my answers, I have to shout out that this bracket album was SO MUCH FUN making! OMG! :) Seriously, you all have to do this one. And today's the last day to get it free with the kit at the shoppe! :)

Today was such a great morning! I've been walking Chayce to school. Matt is in the stroller and Josh rides his bike. Man this weather is amazing! We fished this weekend too! Didn't catch a thing but hopefully next weekend we'll get a bite or two. :)

Okay soooo, since it's a beautiful day, I am giving my Shabby Chic desk a paint bath outside. Remember this desk? MY favorite find so far in my lifetime. I love this desk. It has one coat on so far.

And I am painting the chair that goes with it too. This HUGE ornate frame that I have put off making into my bulletin board is now ready for fabric! So the board and seat cushion will be the same fabric. Now which fabric to choose from! This will be the tough part. Tomorrow the Beth and Sasch and I are quilting our HB quilts again and having lunch. Fun! So I have to pick out something tomorrow at fabric chick's house. My lamp is now brown rust with a chocolate shade. Sooooooooooooooooo, which pattern to pick? This will be tough! Any ideas?

Sheets...Flannel Sheets...Who has them on their bed now? I put these on our bed last night and it felt sooooooooooooo good. Still it's warm outside today but these definitely get me all excited about winter. Who has theirs on?

What happened to Shabby Chic?

I know! Been too crazy here these days lately. I've had no time to do much really! But...STILL love Shabby Chic..actually growing more towards French Country type stuff.  Also having more "not bleach white" stuff and more tea stained stuff. And BLACK! I'm actually rethinking a chest I have and doing it black. It's a way cool chest with chubby bun feet. But I think it might rock black. This should be fun but I am preparing for quite a mess with black paint.

Okay someone and please forgive me because I totally forgot who, bloggie tagged me a week ago. Seven random things! So here goes it!

Ughhh..more sickies!

Soooo, I am blogging as scheduled! LOL But today's another rough one! Now baby Josher's has the flu! Ughh! Totally stinks! But while he stole a nap, I got a few things done! First off....from now on I am sooooo getting all my pages printed via Shutterfly! Seriously! I was so honored to try a book out and when I got it, I totally lost my breath! Perfect beautiful matte pages! Gorgeous cover! I am thrilled with it! And it was SOOOOOO EASY!!!!!!! Check it out! These I am sure make fantastic gifts! My girlfriend was at my cottage when I got it and she about died! So just from that, anyone would love one of these!

And I played around with an old shabby chic vintage makeup carrier today! Looove how it turned out because I looove that it's lined with HB Freshcut fabric! Yesterday I went to the huge HB Fabric store...LOL..ie my girlfriend's house! And picked out a yard I liked! I was kinda skeptical cuz normally I am used to lining these with Rachel Ashwell fabric. But holy cow! Is this the cuuuutest? I am in love I think! LOL I seriously could use this for a sewing basket! Not sure yet. But I just love how totally cute her fabric is in this.  HB and Shabby Chic blend together beautifully!!!!!

SUNDAY YUMMY SUNDAY!

How was your Sunday? Ours was AWESOME! Relaxing truly! SOooo after our morning festivities, we headed out to some fabulous Shabby Chic Antique stores! YUMMY! I grew up going to these...since about 8. My parents always took us to antique stores and markets to find truly beautiful treasures to take home. So today I shot some of my favorite finds!

1. Every morning I have to drink my coffee in my Shabby Chic Sweet cup...no other cup will do! LOL

2. I have to have my teeth brushed and flossed after almost any meal...I hate dirty teeth!

3. Some of my best friends, from a mommy board online....we were all pregnant and due at the same time. We have been friends for almost 5 years and most of us have never met!

4. I'm hopelessly addicted to digital scrapbooking, painting shabby chic furnishings and photography in a serious way! LOL

5. I NEVER get tired of playdates! I could have one everyday and never get tired of my friends and their kids!

6. I get totally annoyed when my cute hubby trims his beard and leaves all these tiny hairs all over the sink! HATE THAT! LOL

7.  My kids and I ALWAYS do the "Lady and the Tramp" thing with our spaghetti at dinner...One of them will eat one end and I will eat the other one until we get close and kiss! :) Started with our dd who LOOVES that movie and the boys love to do it too! :)

This hilarious show of auditions? OMG the hubby and I were just on the floor laughing the past two days. Ya know I could never audition..I just can't sing..and am soooo okay with that. I totally give these people credit for going out and trying. Anywyas, hilarious and I loooved the brother and sister pair!

OMG and isn't this just cuuuute and Shabby? LOVE IT! Okay back to work for me! :) Smoochies!

Something Shabbyful...

And soooo my new favorite! My mom has these but they are a beautiful light sage and brown..but I found mine..in PINK and brown! AHHHH!!! My eyes were sooothed when I saw these! SPODE my darlings! Gotta love some FANTASTIC Shabby Chic china! LOOOVE these and these are going to be soooo adooorable in my hutch! Is this just AWESOME to see? I think I'm in love! Also I think we are going pink and brown in our living room! Talked to the shabby daddy today and he's sooo fine with pink walls as long as he gets his brown bomber leather sofas and chairs. I think it might just be one shabby cuuute thing! So off to find some pink paint!

Then, I finally got our PRINCESS' hair in cute piggies! LOL Again..think I'm in love! LOL Now onto buying TONS more cuuuute coordinating hair bows everywhere and especially here.

And...one more for the road...lil Josher's playing with his toys this afternoon. His birthday is coming up and we took him to pick out a cake. So far he chooses Thomas the Train, Incredibles (yet again), Superman and Nemo! The kid cannot make up his mind! LOL I'm ready to just bake one! LOL Still am thinking about that one!

What a Shabby Store!

Well, thank you for all your sweet comments and emails! You all are truly darlings! And remember a few posts ago, how I was telling you I am sorta loving more dark stuff along with shabby white stuff? I really am venturing to more shops now.  So today, I figured it was time to visit a new store I hadn't been to. And after I hit a few Shabby Estate Sales (sooo tickled with some goodies I found), I headed to this GRAND FRENCH CHIC store! I'd love to call it a boutique, but this store was MASSIVE! LOL With a HUGE selection of rustic goodies, charming delights and such exquisite garden architectural pieces! Oh my word! One step into this warm and cozy store, rich pumpkin vanilla lavender scents filled the air! I swear I never wanted to leave! LOL And their garden shabby stuff? Well the pictures below speak volumes! I swear I am just no good at making decisions about what to buy..LOL...so I am heading back there with my sweet mom! LOL I was soo laughing at myself because I swore to myself I'd never buy candles again, for fear that our two lil boys (monsters-LOL) might burn our house down! LOL But I soooooo LOOOOVE these candles! They are just FABULOUS!!!!!!! And oh my, all the china and place settings! Just sooo great for the upcoming holidays. I loooove the rich oranges and yellows but also ADORE the ALL WHITE stuff! I am a total "thick chunky Italian plates and cups" kinda girl! I loooove things really RUSTIC and chippy and not too delicate! LOL Sooo the stuff they offered was just fantastically darling!  I also LOOOOVE the Tracy Porter goodies they had too! Just awesome! Also TONS of stuff from here. SO here are some pics to share with you. Beware, they are HUGE! LOL Just open with caution. LOL I just cannot wait to go back there and shop my lil heart out! :) Smoochies!

First Day of Fall...

And already I am sooooo dying to go to ALL BROWN stuff! LOL I mean really, all this stuff is pretty much white, pink and khaki! Not that it's bad! I looove Shabby Chic furniture! To the max! LOL But as fall hits, I am just ready to get all cozy and warm in an orange and brown house! LOL Of course sipping one of these . 

SOooooo I was thinking, "does dark stuff really blend well with shabby chic"? Well you tell me! LOL I surely think so! Here's a few choice pieces I scoped out for, stuff I'd buy pretty darn quickly! Just have to make room for it! LOL But just soooo loving these warm touches of "chic" that would bring such a rich charm to our home and for certain give DH that masculine feel! Well the dark colors! LOL

And I think I have to have these dishes! LOL You can find them here at ZGALLERIE.  That store is so much fun to shop in!  Soooo rustic, charmy, italian

farmhouse feel! I loooooove that! I am all about "beat up" stuff! Especially that hand painted leather divider! Just coool!!!!!!!

Oh and the blog look....well I am no HTML girl, so the polka dots were hard for me to configure! :) So what I am trying hard to do, especially since we moved, is to "clear out" the mess in my life! LOL Well, the clutter! Gosh we really "downsized" the "shabby chic" stuff we had before we moved! I can't tell you how freeing that was! Some huge stuff went into the Shabby Chic store, some to the huge flea market (had a friend take it for me) and some stuff, well, was given away to new happy Shabby Chic owners! LOL Seriously, I am looooving the "clean" look and trust me, it's still SHABBY CHIC! Just less! More sophisticated and less "OMG her room looks like a flea market booth"! LOL No really, feels so good to have much less but appreciate it more!

And the kids are enjoying more space everywhere! So the blog, the store and the barn are getting nice clean makeovers! Simple, easy, refreshing......love it!!!!! Okay have some groooovy weekend fun!!!!!
