Feeling hungry?

Post1If so, then Joshua has made the perfect snack for you all. :) Isn't he just a cutie? He's always doing stuff like this and bringing to me and then we sit and play. Usually I have a box full of fun vintage stuff I find sitting in my living room.  And so he found these old wooden dishes made in the Philippines. Remember these? Like I can remember going to my parents friend's house for dinner and seeing these wooden dishes filled with peanuts and mints and things. And now you can practically find them anywhere. Josh seems to think they make great play snack dishes and trays. I am beginning to think they do too. Kinda vintage and sweet right?
Post2 Okay so back to our quilts. I finally finished my flowers and yoyo's. I think I need faux bifocals so I really feel like the little old lady sewing in the chair while her husband sits and watches baseball or movies on the tube at night.  These were the fun part. Just sitting, relaxing, and going nuts with how to embellish these. Fun to choose tons of different buttons, stitches, colors, fabrics, etc. I think I'm just now starting to visualize what I want my sewing projects to look like before I start them. That is good news. It's hard not knowing where to go on something and then doing it and hating it later. So, I'm tickled with how these turned out. I think Chayce was eyeing these..maybe for a cute top for her? Or on a pillow? Something. She is good at eyeing things she likes.

Can I say for the record that church rummage sales just rock? Must be all those holy people donating fun vintage finds and being so generous. I don't know but I usually find awesome things at them. And I found these. I love this pillow. Funky wild green velvet..Hmm...maybe add some cute new tassels? Might look cute on Chayce's bed. And then lo and behold, I didn't even look on the bottom of these until I got home. Sterling silver. Pretty and so sweet. I think the water pitcher will make a great vase for summer flowers? Hmm..nice excuse to go buy bouquets at the Farmers Market. :) My mom saw these and told me to keep them for sure. So, I will. Everyone needs a nice sterling vase full of flowers in their living room right?

Okay hope you all had a fun NSD day! :) I barely had time to shop around but managed to pick these up. Cute stuff here and here and today, OMG, for all you mommies with baby pirates...go get these!!!!! If you look at Mindy's blog, there's even a discount. Holy moly..these are the cuuuutest little sweet pirates! Josh was smiling at these this morning. Can't wait to make some cute pirate pages with my baby pirate. Lanne, aren't these cute?  :) Til then, happy day to you all!

~Weekend Finds~

Oh my word! 85 degrees and holding! What super weather we have finally and I'm so excited to be out enjoying it. Seriously I love seeing the kids come inside at 8pm...right at bedtime..from playing and riding bikes outside all day. Hope you all are enjoying some sunshine wherever you are. Just wanted to share my favorite finds from this weekends outings. My mom and I headed out early Saturday morning to go looking for some fun stuff. And I found these in a box. Old Pyrex Dishes with lids. These are the glass ones with glass lids. And in aqua and one in red. Score! Practically for pennies, I am excited to start using and collecting these cuties and slowly get rid of the plastic stuff. I mean how much cuter are these compared to Rubbermaid? I know some of them are more practical but these are just too cute. Pie1

And then! I overhauled this old sewing table I had. I've had this for awhile now and it was all white. So it got the old dirty bathwater treatment. I think this table was like $3 a few years ago at an old barn sale. Just goes to show ya what magic paint can do. :) And I am tickled to have it showing off more character. :)

Flea Market Picture Explosion

Well we had the most incredible time yesterday at the Shabby Flea Market! The kids had a blast! I of course totally enjoyed seeing several friends there! And of course the shabby eye candy was a major hit! This was just a gorgeous day near the Bay and we had a ball! I took way too many pictures but that's okay! LOL Here they are in all their glory!!!!

There really was a ton of amazing goodies!  Mr Garden Guy! I swear he is one of my all time fav stops at this flea market! The way he throws everything together and adds flowers and plants! Just awesome! And the cabinets he had in the back were amazing! I especially LOVED the pink birdhouse! And a lady in his store made these fabulous french handbag purses and backpack purses! Totally made from chic french velvet and trimmed with the most yummiest french silk ribbon fringe! I really love those!

There was just TONS of tole chandeliers..but really I don't need anymore! Ha! And just the old vintage beds were awesome!~ The imported antiques from France were just fabulous too! I love these baby enamel baths with iron stands! Are they just cool? Those were ALL sold too! LOL

I did get a really cool old shabby "thing" but I'll wait and be sure to share the before and after pics! :)

Just soo much stuff to look at! The kiddies got toys and lots of goodies too so they totally had a blast!! Anyways, off to do errands today!!! I hope you all enjoy these!!!!!

PS- and to those who I had the enormous pleasure of shabby chatting with at Kristie's site on NSD day, well that was just SO MUCH FUN!!!!! You girlees are just the sweeeetest!!!!!

Flea Market Sunday

Fleamarket1

Well today I woke up knowing there was a huge flea market going on..and just was not in the mood to go! LOL Our dd has been sick since Friday so I have been kinda tired lately! LOL So shabby daddy suggests I go and he'll stay home and watch all the shabby babies for me! Okay deal! LOL I was off and am soooo glad I went!

All the fabulous sellers brouht in piles from their stashes in the city. So they had some pretty awesome treasures to dig through.  I actually am giggling..I filled up the shabby cart kinda full! LOL Wasn't expecting to but glad I did!!!

My favorite find is this awesome vintage pottery lamp with old wicker shade.  Ahhh soo cute! It might look fab in the garden room.  Or in my office! LOL And to my sweet girlfriend Gina, this shade looks like a Miss Dot hat! LOL about your sweet nanny!

I also love this old chippy red bucket...this is for our boys room.  To hold all their plastic dinosaurs, which I have to add that their collection is growing quickly! LOL

The oil painting...pretty cute..definitely colorful..and loving the mirror. I think they are going in the store. Other than that, Sunday was a fabulous day! And I am thrilled to have seen all the goodies I did see.

I hope everyone had a beautiful Sunday!!! :)

Smiles!
