Just had a few quick things to share. First off..today is Pajama Day at preschool! My heart was melting at how cuuuute Joshy was going to school in his camo jammies and santa hat! They told him to bring a stuffed animal. He took his stuffed Buzz Lightyear! Ahhhh! Anyways, here's a quick shot of him making tinker toy projects with marshmallows and toothpicks. Clever!
OH and another fun little rave! My sweet girls over at DTR featured the Tree Trimmin' Party kit! Ahhhh! How sweet! Anyways, there show is awesome, hilarious, inspiring, makes you want to spend $ and more! Fun thing to listen to while you clean house! LOL
From a week of little sleep! LOL Well maybe not a week but several days! Soooo looking forward to a good night sleep again! And a good movie! Soooo, few things to share with you all here!
First of all..the big secret revealed..SITE IS REVAMPED! NO more pink! Why? Cuz SMJ has lost her 'umph' for pink! I mean when I first started doing this, the 3 (this, this and this) main kits I started off with had pink in them. But do I really have that pink flair? I think no! :) Not that it's bad but it's just not me really! Sooooo, go take a peek here! And let me know what ya think! :)
So who loves Xmas music? I do! LOL And Chris told me to go here and listen to this! I love vintage classic holiday music! It is so much fun to listen to! Anyways, we listened to this type of music sat night after we went to the little town Xmas parade! Gosh that was fun! Freezin' your buns off while you watched a parade of lights! Oh and the hot eggnog lattes helped keep us warm! :)
Sooo, we took all your advice! And got a dvd album set! Man oh man life has gotten so much easier and ORGANIZED! I wished we would have done this alot earlier! :) THANK YOU!
Speaking of no more pink, totally wish I had the before shot of this piece of furniture. Basically it was an awesome old shabby peachy pink...really looked cool. And the bottom doors had Rachel Ashwell fabric popped behind them. Very pretty! But I sent it to my dad's farm. And now it's back. Looking so FRENCH CHIC! I love it. Black with old shabby white peeking through. The bottom doors now have glass behind them. And now just to choose which hardware to add to the doors? Tough choice! What do ya think? :) They are all antique hardware..pretty cool.
Feels kinds nice to let go of some pink stuff. Of course Chayce's room will be decked out pink as long as she'll let me! LOL
Speaking of Xmas, I had the 3 kiddies pose so I could try to snap a few for the Xmas card this year. I loooved this one! So cute! Those KILLER actions really are awesome!
K hope you all have a splendidly sweet day!
This morning I attended a funeral. Today was a time to mourn and show love and support to dear friends. It was pretty hard to go to. Chris' closest friends...his wife passed away from Lupus. And I haven't attended a funeral since I was 5-my grandpa's. That was the hardest funeral I had ever had to go to and I think going at such a young age, made me really never want to go to another funeral again. But after going today, I realize that going to a funeral is IMPORTANT! No matter how hard, how difficult it is, I really needed to be there. And like the pastor said, funerals are the most difficult things to go to but have great rewards..as in blessings. Just hugging Chris' friend and his late wife's mother, just showing them my heart was pretty big for me.
You see, when I was small, I was extremely close with my grandpa. I was his "princess". And he spoiled me rotten. He took me and my cousin everywhere, from Disneyland to Knotts Berry Farm. He bought us some incredible antique collections of Madame Alexander dolls and Vintage Pooh figurines. That funeral pretty much shocked me at such a young age. Young minds have such a hard time processing death. It really is hard to understand.
I sat there today at this funeral crying and could not stop. Thoughts of my dear friends who have lost their children, spouses, relatives, parents and to those that almost lost their children. And thoughts about cancer...just how many friends of mine have had it, struggled through it, overcame it and those who lost battles to it. Funerals make you think about your present time and how much time you have left here on earth. How much time you have with your children, your loved ones...we just don't know when our time is up. Such RAW feelings to process.
So today is a hard day. Hard day to now work, take care of the kiddies when I am such an emotional sap. But it made me realize the importance of time. The importance of spending time with them. Taking pictures, videos, enjoying every second with everyone in your life. And appreciating it all..IMMENSELY. And in turn, today is a GOOD day! Because it is ONE more day I have with my family, friends, loved ones. And now I am off to enjoy them.
Inspiration! This morning, after dropping Chayce off at school, the boys and I hit a few tag sales. Looking for some fun holiday inspiration! Last night I was going through old magazines...a big and most relaxing hobby of mine while using my new Mistral lotion. Yum!
So I am trying to blog just to re-organize my mind here. Need to make a planner list like Shawn does. But for sure, I need to reorganize my office desk. Chap-stick, camera cords, notebooks, magazines, paper clips, Christmas Cd's from last year, portable external hard drives, chayce's hair clips...come on! LOL So when the kiddies hit the hay tonight, that will be one thing I attempt. Maybe while Chris and I stay up late watching movies.
This morning I picked up some new black snow pants for Chayce. I am already getting excited to hit the snow this winter. And Chris will be going on a few overnight snow trips so he's certainly becoming the snow expert now. Just need to find some sleds and look into ski classes for Chayce. I have NEVER skied my entire life and am too chicken too so hoping the kids learn now and enjoy this incredible snow we get.
So I hope you all have a splendid weekend. And please send any "inspiration" you have over this way. :)
Til then, toodles dear ones!
...as in LEOPARD! GRrrr baby this ROCKS! I am in awe of this new program and LOVE SPACES! Wow! What a way to keep this shabby girl organized! Not just in designing but in my crazy head! :) Really never stood in line for something like this...they gave all enthusiasts water bottles, starbucks and free X tshirts. Fun! The kids did fine since there were several parents with their kids waiting as well. Us mac freaks are a breed like no other. I took a few with my point and shoot and took a few blurry shots but here they are in their glory! :)
Who else got it?
to do before we get ready to leave..we are going to the Apple party tonight. I can't wait to get this! And maybe a few more necessities. And some stuff from this store.
Here's my page I did using the new kit! This was FUN!!!! Hope you all are enjoying yours!
Steph just posted about this blog. These fires have made me so sad especially since I grew up down there and remember so clearly those Santa Ana winds. Really scary. My heart goes out to all those who lost their homes.
And I don't know if any of you have watched this feature film on this station but it is 10000% eye opening. And this amazing, victorious and full of life girl has a fabulous blog. I swear I cried through this whole movie but after reading her blog, am so inspired by how she is living her life. Her attitude and courage. It's a constant huge reminder to me as I go about daily life. Anyways, go read here.
Okay Shari baby, I actually blogged yet again! LOL Crazy me! Hoping life slows down just a tad to catch up!!! Til then tons of smoooshies from me!
If your husbands have this many OR MORE baseball hats! LOL Really...my husband has so many! This made me wanna do a quick scrap of his hats because this morning I snagged the red Packer one. That is another
question for ya'll too...do you wear your husband's gear? I am always snagging his hats and even though I have a few of my own, I love his too. And his shirts and sweats...sooooo comfy! Maybe I'm weird but I guess cuz they are baggy, they are even more comfy. :) But omg, I saw these the other day and had to grab them. DIAMOND Alpha! For real! Just too cute! And I looove this collab kit! Full of grungy fun!
Well, my brain is getting fried by the minute! LOL There's just so much going on...and wait a second..it's so super quiet in this house! LOL Everyone is somewhere so that means mommy has quiet time! :) Feels really great too. I'm trying to soak it all up while also trying to figure out what to pack for our trip. ACK! I hate packing and am so bad at it. LOL
OH this is way cool! Awesome Deann at DTR is featuring Back 2 School on the next show!!!! Oh yippers! I love that girl! One of my favorite HB girls! Anyways, if you go post in her forum, she'll be picking some winners to get the Back 2 School kit FREEEEEEEE!!!!! Click here!
Here's a great image to leave you all with too! Candy finger lollipops! :) The kids had to get these in celebration of one of their most favorite holidays approaching soon! HILARIOUS!!!!!
Alrighty..back to packing for me!
for our trip coming up next week. Getting really excited to get out of here for awhile! Should be really fun! So I was thinking of making some sandwiches for the road since Josh and Matt literally live on PB&J's! And one time at a mommy tea, I tried these chicken salad sandwiches. OMG...TOTAL GRUB!! So I was thinking of making these for my sweet hubby and I. Sharing the recipe too! Really these are so yummy!
Happy weekend to ya'll!
Just like Ferris Bueller says, "Life moves by pretty fast..if you don't stop and look around, you could miss it"! Wow..that's exactly how I am feeling these days! Breathe, breathe! LOL Amongst the chaos and work and new adventures, I think my sweet hubby and I are so grateful for this bundle of three we have and ALL their activities going on. Soccer, school, park, buddies, parties, family and more! Those things really have helped me STOP and enjoy this~!
So awhile ago we had a birthday party to go to. My sweet friend's baby turned 1. But the party was FULL of kids. And our kids had a blast! The best thing and I really admire my friend for doing this was that she let ALL the little kids open her dd's presents. Her dd was tired and a tad cranky. SO all the little kids..for them it was like Christmas! LOL Seriously, Chayce and another girl ended up opening the most since all the little boys wanted to continue running around, going in the jumpee, pool, swings, etc. LOL But really...so much fun. Hopefully I'll be back soon with a fun new post! xoxox
